Its initiator, Ori Elan, identified this need in his father who required continuous daily therapy. While both observing and taking an active part in his father’s treatment, he developed the concept of replacing some of the therapy by a mechanical device. A presentation of the concept and the first prototype of the device got an enthusiastic response from professionals and resulted in the founding of the company and the formation of a multi-disciplinary development team.
The company’s flagship product was registered as a patent in 1998. Marketing in Israel began at 2003, and towards the end of that year in the U.K. During 2004 Backlife was launched in additional markets in Europe. The company will continue to design and develop professional devices and accessories.
Its development was developed with the combined input of professional teams, including some of the most senior orthopedic, physiotherapist and back treatment practitioners in Israel and the world and is considered a breakthrough in the field of back pain therapy. |
